About

Esther Agustí Matabosch was born in Barcelona, Spain. She studied in Spain with Agustín León Ara and Aitzol Iturriagagoitia, in Leipzig with Erich Höbarth, and in Salzburg with Benjamin Schmid, as well as with the members of the Hagen Quartet. In 2015, she received the Live Music Now Yehudi Menuhin scholarship.

She attended several masterclasses, including those with Prof. Eberhard Feltz, Ferenc Rados, György Kurtág, and the Cuarteto Casals.

She has won numerous prizes in major competitions, such as the Wigmore Hall Competition 2022 in London, the Premio Paolo Borciani 2021 in Italy, and the Irene Steels-Wilsing Foundation Competition as part of the String Quartet Festival of the Heidelberg Spring in 2020.

She has performed at various festivals and prestigious concert halls, including the Pau Casals Festival in Prades (France), the Heidelberg Spring, the Summer Music Days in Hitzacker, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, the Berlin Philharmonic, Wigmore Hall, Flagey in Brussels, Esterházy Palace, and the Lucerne Festival.

She has been a member of the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt since 2017
